From the recording Whisper in the Dark
This song was recorded in London at RAK Studios last March. It was such an amazing experience, and we are so excited this is the first song to release from that trip. Alex was given the opportunity to use a 1965 Gibson J200 that Jimmy Page played on ‘Led Zepplin’ album. We were so thrilled and grateful to have that guitar on this song! I feel like it makes the song glow and of course Alex loved playing it.
Lyrics
You’re like a whisper in the dark
never hear you far
that's just what you want
I, I’ve grown so cold
though my heart it is made out of gold, oo
oh you, your broken smile
oh I might, I might just stay awhile, awhile
You’re like a whisper in the dark
never hear you far
that's just what you want
You, you make me small
in tier of foes, I fall so low
I never been so conformed
to drive into your thunder, thunderstorm
You’re like a whisper in the dark
never hear you far
that's just what you want
I’ll find my heart to be so pure
you filled up my tears
shape me what you want
I hear your breath
It shrieks and shakes
paralyze me and evaporate
you’re gone, you’re gone, you’re gone
I’ll pack my bags and leave this home
never look back, but now
I’m on my own, I’m all alone
alone, alone
You’re like a whisper in the dark
I never hear you far
that's just what you, what you want
I’ll find my heart to be so pure
you filled up my tears
shape me what you, what you want
Ooooooooo, ooooooo, oooooo
Ooooooooo, ooooooo, oooooo
